Huffington Post reporter Josh Zepps hosts a panel of Antarctic from experts to discuss how climate change is affecting Antarctica and what is means to the rest of the world.
Excerpt from transcript:
"West Antarctica is melting and there's nothing anyone can do about it."
That was the message this week from a NASA press conference where scientists from two separate research teams concluded that huge sections of the West Antarctic ice sheet are melting uncontrollably.
To help us understand what this means and discuss how it plays into the bigger picture of global warming we're joined by Chuck Kennicutt, Professor Emeritus of Oceanography at Texas A&M University, Dr Julien Nicolas, Post Doctoral Researcher at Byrd Polar Research Centre at Ohio State University and Professor Timothy Naish, Director of the Antarctic Research Centre at Victoria University NZ.
